A City Council Study Session was held on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, 29450 Munro Street, Gibraltar, MI 48173. The objective of this meeting was to provide an informational session with questions and answers for the proposed Leachate (PFAS) Treatment System Project at the Countywide Landfill Site, which is part of the DSC McLouth Steel Gibraltar Superfund Site (15701 Vreeland Road). The session was be led by the City of Gibraltar with guest speakers from Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) and Arcadis of Michigan, LLC (Arcadis).
