Garbage is collected by Priority Waste on Mondays. Please place your items at the curb prior to 6:00 a.m. Monday morning to be collected.

Each household is provided one blue toter can. Should you need an additional can, they are available for purchase at City Hall for $100.00. Additional approved containers will also be picked up, however, they must be water tight, metal or plastic containers with handles and tight-fitting covers of not more than 35-gallon capacity each OR large plastic or paper sacks of approximately 30-gallon capacity designed for the purpose of accumulation of garbage and rubbish.
If your City-provided garbage receptacle has been damaged, please complete the following garbage can claim form and submit it and any photos to CBradd@cityofgibraltarmi.gov.
The following holidays may affect garbage collection: News Years Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
In the event one of these holidays falls on collection day, then collection will be moved to the following business day.
***If one of these holidays falls on a weekend day, then garbage collection will NOT be affected.
The City of Gibraltar has implemented a voluntary recycling drop off center located at Gibraltar City Hall. Funding for the recycling drop off center comes from a dedicated solid waste millage the City levies. This millage also covers the expense associated with residential trash removal and disposal services. The recycling material receptacle at this point is emptied on Mondays & Fridays.
